Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop pipelines for ingesting data from various sources (e.g., databases, APIs, logs) into search indexes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and design effective search solutions using AWS OpenSearch or others.
• Set up and configure search clusters, indexes, and mappings. 
• Customize relevance models, analyzers, and filters to improve search accuracy.
• Monitor search performance, diagnose issues, and implement corrective actions. 
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate search functionality into web applications using APIs or SDKs.

Required Qualifications/Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  
• 4+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on search-based applications or technologies such as Elasticsearch, Solr, or Apache Lucene.
• Strong experience with Amazon OpenSearch Service, including indexing, searching, and query optimization.
• Experience with cloud-based technologies such as AWS Lambda, S3, and DynamoDB.
  
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns.
  
• Experience with agile development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker.
